What it means to have a Certified Nurse Midwife at your birth
A Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) is a registered nurse who has completed a graduate-level midwifery program and passed national board certification. CNMs are trained to care for healthy, low-risk pregnancies and to recognize early signs of complications — bridging gentle, physiologic birth with skilled clinical oversight.

Roxanne is a Certified Nurse Midwife, Navy veteran, and mother who believes that birth is sacred. After a decade of caring for mothers and babies in hospitals, NICUs, and labor & delivery units, she founded Genesis Roots Midwifery to offer Coastal Georgia families an unhurried, evidence-based alternative — one where every birth is treated as the holy, once-in-a-lifetime event it is.
Her practice is rooted in faith, clinical excellence, and the conviction that women deserve to be deeply known by the provider who attends their birth.
